Good rulesets for Kulu Mastermind
Kulu Mastermind has two abilities suitable for melee-only fights (Enrage, Shield), making it a great card for the 'Up Close & Personal' ruleset. Also, its max melee damage is 5, making it a strong damage dealer in this ruleset.
In the 'Unprotected' ruleset, Kulu Mastermind's damage no longer needs to fight through armor. Furthermore, Kulu Mastermind doesn't have any armor, so it gets no disadvantages from this ruleset.
Kulu Mastermind has opportunity, which increases its chances of hitting a backline enemy and dealing damage to 3 enemies at a time with Blast from the 'Explosive Weaponry' ruleset.
Kulu Mastermind is a good tank but doesn't have Taunt. In the 'Fog of War' ruleset, it is more likely to receive most of the damage from the enemy team.
Bad rulesets for Kulu Mastermind
Kulu Mastermind is relatively fast, with a max speed of 4 and it has Enrage, which will give it a speed of 6 when enraged. This means it'll be very slow in the 'Reverse Speed' ruleset.
Kulu Mastermind is a good tank, however in the 'Aimless' ruleset where everyone has Scattershot it's less likely to take the brunt of the damage.
Kulu Mastermind is a melee unit without Reflection Shield which means it will take damage every time it attacks in the 'Thorns' ruleset.
In 'Fog of War', melee cards lose their ability to do Sneak and Opportunity attacks, making Kulu Mastermind need to be in the first position to attack.
Since Kulu Mastermind has Opportunity, it prefers enemies to be unarmored, and therefore doesn't like the 'Armored Up' ruleset.
